In anul 1708, francezii au plantat cafea pe insula Bourbon, in mijlocul Oceanului Indian, cafea provenita probabil din aceeasi lot, primita de la olandezi. Deloc surprinzator, planta a suferit mici mutatii si a ajuns sa fie plantata la scara mare in Brazilia, spre sfarsitul anilor 1800, raspandindu-se apoi in toata America Latina. Cafeaua este indragita de cunoscatori pentru nuantele citrice, subliniate cu subtilitate de nuante de vin, ciocolata si cirese. Textura sa bogata si fina va va impresiona cu siguranta.

Dupa 100 de ani de traditie si patru generatii de cultivatori, familiile Carvalho Dias si Ottoni continua sa produce unele dintre cele mai bune cafele Arabica. Valorea traditionala pe care o promoveaza este echilibrul pe toate planurile: social, economic si ecologic. Aceasta valoare este evidentiata in fiecare dintre cele sase ferme numite Fazendas, si in productia celor mai bune cafele braziliene. Familiile stiu ca pentru a produce cafea de calitate, oamenii implicati trebuie sa fie multumiti de munca lor. Pentru asta li se ofera un mediu de lucru si de viata comfortabil si facilitati de top, iar fermele sunt amplasate in paduri naturale protejate cu grija, in care practica metode ecologice de productie.

Around 1708 the French planted coffee on the island of Bourbon in the middle of the Indian Ocean, all probably from the same parent stock - the plant the Dutch gave them. Unsurprisingly, it mutated slightly and was planted throughout Brazil in the late 1800s and eventually spread through Latin America. Bourbon produces 20-30% more fruit than Typica varieties. El Salvador is known as the Bourbon Country. Brazil Yellow Bourbon is loved for its beautiful orange citrus flavors. In addition, black currant and wine undertones support the sweet citrus, chocolate and cherry notes. Its rich, smooth nature will impress. After 100 years and four generations of coffee growers, the Carvalho Dias and Ottoni families continue to produce some of Brazil's finest Arabica coffees. They traditionally have believed in balance on all levels: socially, economically and environmentally. This belief is evidenced in each of the six farms - Fazendas - and in the production of the finest Brazilian coffees. The families know that in order to produce top-notch coffees, the people involved must be happy with their work. They are provided with a comfortable living environment, schools, churches, clinics and sports facilities. Surrounded by carefully preserved natural forests, the Fazendas also practice environmentally-safe coffee production methods.
